Which shape Trampoline is the best?

There are three types of trampolines that customers are able to buy: oval, round and rectangle. However, the question often asked is which shape is the best? This blog is here to tell you all you need to know when looking at which shape of trampoline to buy!

Round Trampolines, over the years, have proved to be the most popular trampoline. The first shape that comes to mind when looking to buy a trampoline is round. Round Trampolines definitely have their advantages; for example, when their ‘sweet spot’ in the centre is bounced on, all springs are evenly activated giving you that fantastic bounce that your child will love!

However, it is not recommended having more than one person on a round trampoline as it can become quite dangerous. This is because if the jumpmat is hit at two different points, the springs will pull the users into the centre of the trampoline and may cause them to collide. For single users, this trampoline is a great buy and will have hours of endless bouncing fun!

Oval trampolines are fantastic, as they don’t just have one main ‘sweet spot’; they have two – one at each end! This means that it is perfect for more than one user and is a lot safer than a round trampoline when having more than one person on (however, this is not recommended).

Another great selling point for the oval trampoline is that it’s a great combination between the round and rectangle trampoline. It has the aesthetics of the round and better jumping quality like the rectangle.

If you are looking for a trampoline with a more controlled bounce, the rectangle trampoline is the one to go for. Rectangular trampolines are usually used at a competitive level, this is because it the largest bouncing area and gives the most consistent bouncing.

It is the better trampoline for doing flips and tricks on – this is why you see them used at Olympic level! In addition to this, a rectangular trampoline may be more convenient as its shape makes it easier to fit in your garden.

In conclusion, round and oval trampolines are best for domestic purposes and give a your child a fun, safe bounce. Rectangle trampolines are great if you are a more experienced bouncer and if you haven’t got a lot of space in your garden.

Either way, any trampoline you get will put a smile on your child’s face! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and one of our friendly staff will be happy to assist!
